I can see how it is more respected to have a full wolf form though. If you think about it (doesn't take much thinking), Peter's shift could mangle a shift like Talia's in a heartbeat. I wonder though, what benefit having a full wolf shift has. Well are the full wolf and humanoid shifts really different abilities? It hasn't been stated in the show as far as I know. I always though a werewolf needs some serious mojo for such a shift and the Beta "spark" just doesn't cut it. It might not be strictly speaking limited to Alphas but I just think that Betas simply don't have the strength for it. IMO I don't think Betas can shift into the CGI beast. The former appears to be an Alpha thing - the latter may not be limited to Alphas. to shift into an actual animal like Talia You're talking about two different abilities -Ģ. So shifting might not be special to alphas. From the looks of the end of episode 1 season 3b, betas might also have this ability to shift seeing how scott found the wolf with blue eyes. The same way every person has their own personality, everyone's wolf form is different. Everyone's is different, but I think it has nothing to do with how evil you are. For instance the "Demon Wolf" that Deucalion turned into was his version of Peter's full Alpha form. Personally the way I see it, and most people agree with this part, every Alpha can go into a higher level of shift, the way that we've seen Peter and Talia do, but everyone's form is different. Obviously everyone understands that Talia shifting into an actual wolf is rare, which is why she was so respected, but people have also thought that Peter being a wolf-man shape was due to his evil corrupted spirit. Other people think that it has a lot more to do with evil or good, for instance the Hales. Some of the common ones I've seen are the idea that what we've seen in Season 3 with the pack, such as the way Ennis and Derek fought in the mall, was their full forms. So most people on the forums have different views on Alphas shifting. ![]()
